What is Kybella?
The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.When injected into the fat beneath your chin, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.

How does Kybella work?
Kybella contains a naturally occurring molecule (deoxycholic acid) which breaks down fat cells, leaving other healthy cells intact. This allows practitioners to contour the area without affecting surrounding tissue. Once injected, the unique solution works to immediately break apart localized fat cells in the treatment region. Fragmented fat cells are then gradually expelled from the body via natural metabolic processes, leaving behind an improved contour below the chin.

What to Expect

How many treatments do I need?
The number of treatments that each patient will need varies. Typically, patients receive between two and four treatments, but patients with severe double chins may need to receive as many as six treatments.

How much downtime?
You can return to your normal activities right away. While visible swelling in the chin and neck area is common, it usually subsides within a few weeks of receiving treatment.

How quickly will I see results?
